From L to R: Joel Eisenkramer, bass, Peter Eisenkramer, keys and vocals, and NL Dennis, vocals and rhythm guitar

The Thunderballs are a roots reggae band led by one of Jamaica’s finest singer-songwriters, NL Dennis. Dennis has been a celebrated performer in the Jamaican music scene for decades, providing sweet vocal harmony to famous artists like Toots Hibbert and Desmond Dekker. Keyboardist and composer, Peter Eisenkramer, followed his ears and met Dennis singing in a cafe in Negril during the 1990s. Since that time, the pair have been performing around Jamaica and the US, having released several albums with a variety of great Jamaican and American musicians.

Hearing Dennis sing classic numbers like “54-46” by Toots & the Maytals brings listeners back to the golden age of reggae roots while his own original songs provide something fresh and new. Even so, audiences often sing along with Dennis’ catchy songs (like “I Can’t Stop”) the very first time they’ve even heard it. Dennis is a smiling, singing embodiment of simple, powerful and sweet reggae music.
